2XYT Broth with Animal-Free Soytone is a nutrient-rich liquid medium for the cultivation of E. coli and other heterotrophic bacteria. The formulation combines animal-free Soytone, yeast extract, and sodium chloride to provide peptides, amino acids, vitamins, and essential ions suitable for microbial growth in general laboratory applications.

  • 1.6% Soytone
  • Animal-Free
  • 1.0% Yeast Extract
  • 0.5% Sodium Chloride

  • Plasmid DNA Production: High-density growth of Escherichia coli for mini-/midi-/maxiprep workflows.

  • Recombinant Protein Expression: Culturing induced Escherichia coli for soluble and membrane protein production.

  • Bacteriophage Workflows: Amplification of M13/phagemids and helper phage rescue in Escherichia coli hosts.

  • Transformation Recovery: Outgrowth medium after chemical transformation or electroporation of Escherichia coli.

  • Antibiotic Selection and Cloning: Selection and expansion of recombinant Escherichia coli colonies carrying plasmids.
