TSA is a general-purpose, nutrient-rich medium used to cultivate and maintain a wide variety of microorganisms, including both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It’s ideal for routine culture, isolation, enumeration, and environmental monitoring.
TSA contains an enzymatic digest of casein and soybean meal, sodium chloride, and agar, providing a balanced mix of amino acids, peptides, and nutrients that support robust microbial growth.
Because TSA is non-selective and non-differential, it supports a broad range of bacteria, making it widely used across research, industrial, and environmental microbiology. We manufacture and sell various animal-free, lecithin- and Tween-supplemented, sheep blood-enriched, and antibiotic-containing TSA formulations for academic and industrial applications.
We carry TSA plates supplemented with tetracycline, ampicillin, erythromycin, streptomycin, kanamycin, and chloramphenicol. For custom TSA plate formulations, we can combine up to 5 different antibiotics to fit your selection criteria.
Our TSA plates can be stored at room temperature, unless they contain sheep’s blood or antibiotics, in which case they should be stored at 2-8°C.
For your convenience, all 20 packs of 100 mm plates come in our proprietary sleeves for easy dispensing and minimal exposure.
