YPD Agar Plates with Zeocin-100 are yeast extract–peptone–dextrose agar plates designed for cultivation and selection of Zeocin-resistant yeast strains. The nutrient-rich matrix supports robust growth of yeast, and 100 µg/mL Zeocin (InvivoGen) enables selection of transformants carrying Zeocin resistance markers.

  • 2.0% Peptone
  • 1.0% Yeast Extract
  • 2.0% Cerelose Anhydrous Dextrose (Glucose)
  • 1.5% Agar
  • 100µg/mL Zeocin® (an InvivoGen's product)

  • Yeast Transformation Selection: Selects Saccharomyces cerevisiae transformants harboring Sh ble (Zeocin) resistance on rich YPD with 100 µg/mL Zeocin (InvivoGen).

  • Clone Isolation and Maintenance: Streaking, colony purification, and routine passaging of Zeocin-resistant yeast strains on rich medium.

  • Plasmid/Vector Maintenance in Yeast: Maintains episomal and integrative plasmids bearing Zeocin resistance without auxotrophic selection.
