TBS, pH 7.4 is a ready-to-use Tris-buffered saline of 25 mM Tris and 150 mM sodium chloride in purified water, adjusted to pH 7.4. The 1 L fill supports laboratory and pilot-scale use.

It is commonly used as a wash and dilution buffer in immunoassays and western blotting, and as an equilibration and chase buffer for depth filtration and chromatography in protein purification.

  • 25mM Tris-HCl pH 7.4
  • 150mM Sodium Chloride
  • Depth Filter Equilibration and Chase: Tris-buffered saline for equilibrating depth filters and chasing product through the filter train ahead of Protein A capture.
