10X TBST, pH 7.4 is a Tris-buffered saline with a nonionic surfactant used for membrane washing and antibody dilution in Western blotting, ELISA, and related immunoassays. The buffer maintains stable pH and ionic strength and helps reduce nonspecific binding during antibody incubations.

Provided as a 10X concentrate; dilute 1:10 with water to prepare a 1X working solution suitable for routine washing and dilution steps.

0.5M Tris Base
1.5M Sodium Chloride
0.50% Tween-20

Western Blotting: Used as a wash and blocking buffer, and for primary/secondary antibody dilutions to minimize nonspecific binding.
ELISA: Serves as a plate wash buffer and antibody dilution buffer to reduce background and improve signal-to-noise.
Immunohistochemistry/Immunocytochemistry (IHC/ICC) and Immunofluorescence (IF): Applied for washing steps between incubations to limit nonspecific interactions.
Antibody Dilution: Provides a stable pH and ionic strength for preparing antibody working solutions.
Protein Microarrays and Dot Blots: Used for chip/membrane washing and blocking to enhance assay specificity.
General Membrane and Plate Washing: Employed in protein-based assays to remove unbound reagents without stripping target proteins.
