10X TBST, pH 7.6 is a Tris-buffered saline concentrate with polysorbate 20 (Tween-20). Dilution to 1X gives 20 mM Tris, 138 mM sodium chloride, and 0.1% polysorbate 20 at pH 7.6. The 4 L fill makes 40 L of 1X buffer.

It is commonly used for high-throughput plate washing in ELISAs and membrane washing in western blotting. Dilute 100 mL to 1 L with purified water, and filter if your method requires it.

  • 200mM Tris-HCl
  • 1.38M Sodium Chloride
  • 1.0% Tween-20
  • ELISA Plate Washing: Wash buffer concentrate that dilutes to 1X for removing unbound reagents between ELISA steps.
  • Western Blotting: Wash buffer concentrate for membrane washes in western blotting.
  • Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence: Wash buffer concentrate for slide washes in IHC, ICC, and IF.
  • Antibody Dilution and Storage: Wash buffer concentrate, diluted to 1X, as a base for antibody dilution buffers.
  • Dot Blots and Protein Microarrays: Buffer for blocking, washing, and probing dot blots, slot blots, and protein microarrays.
  • ELISA Plate Blocking: Wash buffer concentrate, diluted to 1X, as a base for blocking buffers.
  • Hybridization and Nucleic Acid Blotting: Wash buffer concentrate for membrane washes in blot detection.
  • pH: 7.60 ± 0.04
