Terrific Broth (TB) Agar with Carbenicillin-100 is a nutrient-rich solid medium formulated for growth and selection of carbenicillin-resistant E. coli strains. Glycerol serves as the primary carbon source, a potassium phosphate buffer maintains pH during cultivation, and 100 µg/mL carbenicillin disodium salt provides antibiotic selection for plasmid-bearing transformants. GMP manufactured.

Antibiotic Selection of Transformants: Selects plasmid-bearing Escherichia coli using 100 µg/mL carbenicillin in rich TB agar (1.200% tryptone, 2.400% yeast extract, 1.600% glycerol, 1.254% K2HPO4, 0.231% KH2PO4, 1.500% agar).
Post-Transformation Recovery and Plating: Supports high-efficiency colony formation after heat shock or electroporation under β-lactam selection.
Clonal Isolation and Streaking: Enables single-colony purification of recombinant Escherichia coli strains.
Blue-White Screening: Compatible with X-gal/IPTG for insert verification of lacZα-based vectors on carbenicillin plates.
Plasmid Maintenance: Stable propagation of ampicillin/carbenicillin-selectable plasmids with reduced satellite colony formation versus ampicillin.
Library Plating and Titering: Plating and enumeration of cDNA/genomic/mutagenesis libraries requiring rich medium and β-lactam selection.
Expression Construct Screening: Rapid screening of recombinant clones prior to liquid TB expression cultures.
Colony PCR Templates: Picking colonies for PCR-based insert verification directly from selective TB agar.
