1M Succinic Acid, pH 5.5 is a succinate buffer stock in purified water, adjusted to pH 5.5. Succinate buffers between about pH 4 and 6. The 1 L fill supports laboratory and pilot-scale buffer preparation.

It is commonly used to prepare succinate buffers in the pH 5–6 range for biologic formulation development and protein handling. Dilute 10 mL to 1 L for 10 mM succinate and verify pH. Succinate can shift pH on freezing, so evaluate this if you store samples frozen.
