0.1 M Sodium Citrate, pH 3.0, Endotoxin Tested is a ready-to-use citrate buffer formulated for acidic pH control in biochemical workflows. Sodium citrate provides buffering capacity at pH 3.0 and exhibits chelating activity toward divalent cations, supporting procedures that require metal ion control.

This solution is suitable for sample preparation, protein and enzyme handling under acidic conditions, and equilibration or elution steps in chromatography methods that operate at low pH. Endotoxin testing supports use in applications sensitive to pyrogen levels.

  • 0.1M Sodium Citrate
  • Protein A/G Affinity Chromatography Elution: Uses 0.1M Sodium Citrate, pH 3.0 to efficiently elute IgG from Protein A/G resins with rapid post-elution neutralization.

  • Viral Inactivation (Low-pH Hold): Provides a controlled pH 3.0 environment for enveloped virus inactivation during downstream bioprocessing.

  • AAV and Lentiviral Vector Processing: Employed for low-pH capsid elution and pH-shift steps, followed by immediate neutralization to preserve vector integrity.

  • HPLC/UPLC Mobile Phase Buffering: Serves as a pH 3.0 buffer for peptide/protein separations and reversed-phase workflows to improve peak shape and reproducibility.

  • Acid Dissociation in Immunoassays: Used to dissociate antibody–antigen complexes (e.g., ELISA, bridging assays) prior to detection or re-binding.

  • Endotoxin Handling and Recovery Studies: Endotoxin-tested, sterile matrix for LAL inhibition/enhancement controls and endotoxin spike/dilution preparations.

  • Enzyme and Nuclease Inactivation: Low pH and citrate chelation help suppress proteases and nucleases during sample preparation.

  • Ion-Exchange Chromatography pH Control: Maintains pH 3.0 conditions for cation-exchange equilibration and elution strategies.

  • Host-Cell Protein Clarification: Facilitates precipitation/clarification of host-cell proteins from Escherichia coli or CHO lysates under acidic conditions.

  • Antibody/Fc Interaction Stripping: Low-pH treatment to strip surface-bound antibodies or Fc-mediated interactions from cells or tissue prior to re-staining.

  • pH: 3.00 ± 0.04
  • Endotoxin: ≤0.5EU/mL
