1X PBS Solution, Endotoxin Tested, is an isotonic phosphate-buffered saline at physiological pH for general laboratory use. The solution is sterile and ready-to-use for washing cells, diluting reagents, and sample handling in workflows involving E. coli and mammalian cells.

This buffer is filtered through a 0.2 µm membrane and tested for endotoxin using a Limulus Amebocyte Lysate (LAL) assay. It is suitable for routine cell culture maintenance, tissue handling, and immunoassay wash steps where a physiologically buffered saline is required.

  • 137mM Sodium Chloride
  • 4.3mM Disodium Phosphate
  • 2.7mM Potassium Chloride
  • 1.4mM Monopotassium Phosphate
  • Cell Culture and Tissue Handling: Rinsing cells and tissues to remove serum, enzymes, or media while maintaining osmolarity and pH.

  • Immunoassay Washes: Base buffer for ELISA, Western blot (PBS-T), IHC, and IF washing steps to reduce background.

  • Flow Cytometry: Cell washing and antibody staining buffer to preserve cell integrity and minimize nonspecific binding.

  • Microscopy and Slide Rinsing: Washing coverslips and slides in ICC/IF workflows to maintain specimen clarity.

  • Reagent and Antibody Dilution: Diluent for proteins, antibodies, and conjugates to stabilize and maintain pH.

  • Microbial Suspension and Serial Dilution: Preparing and diluting cultures (e.g., Escherichia coli, Staphylococcus aureus) for plating and counting.

  • Cell Resuspension and Centrifugation: Resuspending pellets and washing cells in routine workflows.

  • General Buffering: Maintaining physiological pH in routine laboratory procedures and sample handling.

  • pH: 7.30 ± 0.20
  • Endotoxin: ≤0.2EU/mL
