LB Agar Plates with Kanamycin-50 is a nutrient agar medium that supports the growth and selection of kanamycin-resistant E. coli strains. The inclusion of 50 µg/mL kanamycin sulfate enables effective selection and maintenance of plasmid-bearing transformants.

  • 1.0% Tryptone
  • 0.5% Yeast Extract
  • 1.0% Sodium Chloride
  • 1.5% Agar
  • 50µg/mL Kanamycin Sulfate
  • Selection and Maintenance of Plasmids: Isolating and propagating kanamycin-resistant clones in E. coli and other bacteria using 50µg/mL kanamycin.

  • Bacterial Transformation Screening: Selecting successful transformants after chemical or electroporation methods in E. coli, Bacillus subtilis, and related species.
