LB Agar Plates with Animal-Free Soytone and Tetracycline-12.5 are solid media formulated with plant-derived peptone, yeast extract, and sodium chloride, solidified with agar. The inclusion of 12.5 µg/mL tetracycline hydrochloride enables selection of tetracycline-resistant E. coli and maintenance of tetracycline-selectable plasmids.

  • 1.69% Animal-Free Soytone
  • 0.50% Yeast Extract
  • 1.00% Sodium Chloride
  • 1.50% Agar
  • 12.5µg/mL Tetracycline Hydrochloride

  • Antibiotic Selection of Transformants: Selects tetracycline-resistant colonies after transformation in Escherichia coli (12.5 µg/mL tetracycline).

  • Plasmid Maintenance: Maintains Tet-selectable plasmids in Escherichia coli during routine culturing.

  • Cloning Workflows: Supports colony growth for cloning and subcloning with tetracycline selection.

  • Colony Screening: Enables colony PCR and phenotype screening under tetracycline selection pressure.
