LB Agar Plates with Kanamycin-50, Tetracycline-10 is a solid medium that supports the growth and dual antibiotic selection of kanamycin- and tetracycline-resistant E. coli strains. The inclusion of 50 µg/mL kanamycin sulfate and 10 µg/mL tetracycline hydrochloride enables selection and maintenance of plasmids or chromosomal markers conferring the corresponding resistance.

  • 1% Tryptone
  • 0.5% Yeast Extract
  • 1.0% Sodium Chloride
  • 1.5% Agar
  • 50µg/mL Kanamycin Sulfate
  • 10µg/mL Tetracycline Hydrochloride
  • Dual-Antibiotic Selection of Transformants: Isolates colonies harboring plasmids or genomes conferring resistance to 50 µg/mL kanamycin and 10 µg/mL tetracycline in Escherichia coli, leveraging LB (1% tryptone, 0.5% yeast extract, 1.0% NaCl, 1.5% agar) for robust growth.

  • Two-Plasmid Co-Selection: Maintains co-transformed constructs (e.g., expression + helper/replicase or CRISPR + guide vectors) requiring simultaneous KanR and TetR in Escherichia coli.
