LB Agar Plates with Animal-Free Soytone and Spectinomycin-100 is a solid medium that supports cultivation and selection of spectinomycin-resistant E. coli strains. Plant-derived soytone provides peptides and amino acids, yeast extract supplies vitamins and growth factors, sodium chloride maintains osmotic balance, and agar serves as the gelling agent. The medium includes 100 µg/mL spectinomycin sodium salt for selection of plasmid-bearing transformants.

Colony Screening Workflows: Supports post-transformation colony picking for PCR, restriction analysis, or sequencing under spectinomycin selection.
Protein Expression Strain Maintenance: Preserves expression constructs with spectinomycin resistance in production or starter cultures of Escherichia coli.
Cloning and Subcloning: Enables insertion, subcloning, and assembly workflows where spectinomycin-resistant backbones are used.
