100 mg/mL Gentamicin Solution is an aminoglycoside antibiotic used in microbial and cell culture workflows. It targets the bacterial 30S ribosomal subunit and is applied for selection and maintenance of gentamicin-resistance markers in plasmids and in strains such as E. coli and Pseudomonas spp.

Applications include selection of plasmid-bearing transformants and control of bacterial contamination in eukaryotic cell culture.

100mg/mL Gentamicin Sulfate

Mammalian Cell Culture: Broad-spectrum antibiotic to prevent bacterial contamination in tissue culture workflows.
Bacterial Selection: Selection and maintenance of plasmids or strains carrying gentamicin-resistance in Escherichia coli and other bacteria.
Plant Tissue Culture: Removal of residual Agrobacterium tumefaciens after transformation and maintenance of sterile plant cultures.
Insect Cell Culture: Prevention of bacterial contamination in Sf9, Sf21, and High Five cell culture systems.
Viral Production Workflows: Maintenance of sterility during production and handling of viral vectors in cell culture.
Microbiology Media Supplementation: Added to media to suppress susceptible bacteria and create selective conditions for gentamicin-resistant organisms.
