1M Citric Acid, pH 2.95 is a citric acid stock in purified water, adjusted to pH 2.95. The 1 L fill supports laboratory and pilot-scale use.

It is commonly used to lower pH in bioprocess and biochemical work, including acid precipitation of cell culture harvests before depth filtration, which removes cell debris and a portion of host cell proteins and DNA. Add slowly with mixing to avoid local low-pH zones. It also serves as a stock for citrate buffers.
