PBS with 1% BSA is a ready-to-use phosphate-buffered saline with 1% bovine serum albumin. The 1 L fill supports laboratory and pilot-scale use.

It is commonly used to block coated plates and membranes and to dilute samples and antibodies in ELISAs, western blots, and other immunoassays.

  • 135.0mM Sodium Chloride
  • 2.7mM Potassium Chloride
  • 4.3mM Sodium Phosphate Dibasic
  • 1.4mM Potassium Phosphate Monobasic
  • 1.0% Bovine Serum Albumin (BSA)
  • ELISA Blocking and Dilution: BSA-containing buffer for blocking coated plates and diluting samples and antibodies in HCP, residual Protein A, and binding ELISAs.
  • Western Blotting: Protein-containing buffer for blocking membranes and diluting antibodies in western blotting.
  • Immunohistochemistry and Immunofluorescence: Protein-containing buffer for blocking and antibody dilution in IHC, ICC, and IF.
  • Flow Cytometry: Protein-containing buffer for antibody staining and washing of cells for flow cytometry.
  • Bead-Based and Multiplex Immunoassays: Buffer for dilution, blocking, and washing in bead-based and multiplex immunoassays.
  • Antibody Dilution and Storage: Protein-containing diluent for primary and secondary antibodies and conjugates in immunodetection.
  • Lateral Flow Assays: Running and sample buffer for lateral flow and rapid immunoassays.
  • Hybridization and Nucleic Acid Blotting: Protein-containing buffer for blocking membranes in hybridization and probe detection.
