3.8M Ammonium Sulfate is a concentrated ammonium sulfate stock in purified water, close to saturation. The 2 L fill supports routine HIC mobile phase preparation.

It is commonly used to set high-salt starting conditions for hydrophobic interaction chromatography of proteins, including ADC analysis by drug-to-antibody ratio (DAR), and for salting-out precipitation. Adding 395 mL per liter of final mobile phase gives 1.5 M.

  • 3.8M Ammonium Sulfate
  • HIC Mobile Phase: Ammonium sulfate for high-salt HIC mobile phases, including resolution of ADC species by drug-to-antibody ratio (DAR).
  • Protein Precipitation and Fractionation: Salt for precipitating, fractionating, and concentrating proteins by salting out.
  • Protein Crystallization: Ammonium sulfate precipitant for protein crystallization screens.
  • Sample Handling and Storage: Ammonium sulfate for storing enzymes as stable precipitates.
