20mM Acetic Acid is a ready-to-use acetic acid elution buffer in purified water. The 200 mL fill suits bench-scale column work.

It is commonly used to elute proteins from affinity columns at low pH, including antibodies from Protein A. Acetate elution lets the eluate go directly into a low-pH viral inactivation hold.

  • 20mM Glacial Acetic Acid
  • Protein A Elution: Low-pH acetate buffer for releasing bound antibody from Protein A resin.
  • Ion-Exchange Chromatography: Low-pH acetate buffer for equilibration and elution in ion-exchange chromatography.
  • Affinity Chromatography: Buffer for equilibration, wash, and elution steps on affinity resins such as IMAC and immunoaffinity columns.
  • Proteomics Sample Preparation: Reagent for reduction, digestion, and cleanup of proteins ahead of LC-MS/MS.
  • Buffer Exchange and Dialysis: Target buffer for desalting, dialysis, and ultrafiltration/diafiltration of proteins and other biomolecules.
  • Protein Denaturation, Solubilization, and Refolding: Reagent for denaturing, solubilizing, and refolding proteins, including inclusion bodies.
  • Endotoxin: ≤0.1EU/mL
