1 M HEPES, pH 7.5, is a zwitterionic buffering solution intended for preparing physiological and biochemical buffers in the near-neutral range. With a pKa of approximately 7.55 at 25 °C and an effective buffering range of pH 6.8–8.2, it is used to maintain stable pH in cell culture media, protein and enzyme workflows, nucleic acid procedures, and microbial applications, including media buffered for E. coli.

This ready-to-use solution can be diluted to typical working concentrations of 10–50 mM and combined with common salts and additives as required by the protocol. GMP manufactured.
