PBS, pH 7.4 is a ready-to-use phosphate-buffered saline at physiological ionic strength, adjusted to pH 7.4. The 20 L bag supports pilot- and process-scale purification.

It is commonly used at process scale to equilibrate and wash chromatography columns, including Protein A capture of antibodies, and to chase depth filters during clarification. It also serves as a general wash and dilution buffer for cell and protein processing.

  • 2.7mM Potassium Chloride
  • 4.3mM Disodium Phosphate
  • 1.4mM Monopotassium Phosphate
  • Protein A Equilibration and Wash: Neutral-pH buffer for equilibrating and washing Protein A columns before antibody elution.
  • Buffer Exchange and Dialysis: Target buffer for desalting, dialysis, and ultrafiltration/diafiltration of proteins and other biomolecules.
