Sodium hydroxide solution for routine laboratory use in pH adjustment, titration, and neutralization steps across analytical, biochemical, and microbiological workflows.

Applicable for preparing and adjusting buffers and culture media, performing alkaline lysis procedures for plasmid DNA workflows involving E. coli, regenerating ion-exchange resins, supporting base-catalyzed hydrolysis and saponification reactions, and cleaning or depyrogenation steps compatible with alkali treatment. GMP manufactured.

Handle using appropriate corrosion-resistant personal protective equipment and procedures. Store tightly closed to minimize CO₂ uptake. Use chemically compatible containers (e.g., HDPE or polypropylene). Avoid contact with acids, aluminum, and materials sensitive to strong bases.

  • This is a GMP-grade product that is manufactured in compliance with our Quality Management System in ISO 13485 certified facilities.
  • 500mM Sodium Hydroxide
  • pH Adjustment and Titration: Used to raise and control pH in buffers, media, and process solutions.

  • Buffer and Reagent Preparation: Serves as a strong base for preparing alkaline buffers and solutions.

  • Alkaline Lysis for Plasmid Prep: Employed in plasmid DNA extraction from E. coli using alkaline lysis protocols.

  • Chromatography Column Cleaning/Regeneration: Cleans and regenerates Protein A and ion-exchange resins to remove fouling and carryover.

  • Clean-in-Place (CIP) Sanitization: Used for CIP of tanks, lines, and single-use systems in bioprocessing.

  • Endotoxin Reduction/Depyrogenation: Applied to inactivate and remove endotoxins from equipment and systems.

  • Membrane and UF/DF System Cleaning: Restores flux by removing organic and biofouling residues from filtration membranes.

  • Neutralization and Waste Treatment: Neutralizes acidic process streams and laboratory waste.

  • DNA/RNA Denaturation and Alkaline Transfer: Used for denaturation in Southern/Northern blot workflows and alkaline transfer.

  • Probe Stripping from Blots: Removes hybridized probes from membranes for reprobing.
