AAV•Tek AEX Buffer: AAV8 - Equilibration Buffer 50A is a ready-to-use buffer intended for equilibration of anion exchange (AEX) chromatography media during purification of adeno-associated virus serotype 8 (AAV8). It is used to condition the column to the specified pH and ionic strength prior to sample loading and for protocol-defined wash steps.

This buffer is applied as part of AEX workflows to establish a consistent ionic environment between the column and the sample buffer. Usage includes column equilibration and intermediate washes as directed by the purification method.

The formulation is proprietary to Teknova. Please get in touch if you’d like more information or have any questions.

  • Column Equilibration: Prepares anion exchange chromatography media for AAV8 purification by establishing target ionic conditions before loading.

  • Sample Conditioning: Adjusts AAV8 feed material to match AEX equilibration conditions for optimal binding.

  • Column Washing: Removes unbound and weakly bound impurities prior to elution during AAV8 purification workflows.

  • Membrane/Device Equilibration: Conditions AEX membranes and cartridges for consistent AAV8 processing performance.

  • Process Development: Supports optimization and platform standardization of AAV8 AEX steps.

  • Scale-Up and Manufacturing: Enables reproducible equilibration in pilot and GMP operations for AAV8 purification.

  • Method Qualification/QC Runs: Used during system suitability and qualification of AEX unit operations for AAV8.

  • pH: 9.10 ± 0.10
  • Endotoxin: ≤0.5EU/mL
