  • Anion Exchange Chromatography (AEX) Elution of AAV2: Elutes AAV2 capsids from AEX columns during downstream purification.

  • Empty/Full Capsid Separation: Supports resolution of empty versus full AAV2 capsids during polishing steps.

  • Process Development and Optimization: Used for method development, gradient design, and robustness studies for AEX-based AAV2 purification.

  • Scale-Up Manufacturing: Applied in GMP-like downstream workflows to elute AAV2 during large-scale production.

  • Impurity Reduction: Aids removal of host-cell proteins, DNA, and process-related impurities during the AEX elution step.

  • Analytical Sample Preparation: Generates fractions suitable for characterization assays (e.g., AUC, SEC, ELISA, qPCR, infectivity assays).

  • Platform and Column Screening: Evaluates AEX resins and operating conditions for optimal AAV2 recovery and purity.

  • Workflow Integration: Interfaces with subsequent steps such as buffer exchange, concentration, and sterile filtration after elution.

  • pH: 9.40 ± 0.10
  • Endotoxin: ≤0.5EU/mL
