2M Sorbitol is a ready-to-use solution of sorbitol in purified water. Sorbitol is a non-ionic polyol that raises osmolality without adding ions. The 1 L fill supports laboratory and pilot-scale use.

It is commonly used to adjust tonicity and stabilize proteins in liquid formulations, and as an osmotic stabilizer for yeast spheroplasting and electroporation.
