YPD Broth with Animal-Free Soytone is a complex liquid medium containing yeast extract, animal-free plant-derived peptone (soytone), and glucose (dextrose). It is used for the cultivation and maintenance of yeasts such as Saccharomyces cerevisiae in microbiology and molecular biology workflows.

Animal-free soytone provides peptides and amino acids, yeast extract supplies vitamins and growth factors, and glucose serves as a fermentable carbon source. This formulation offers a non-animal-origin alternative to traditional YPD while maintaining the characteristic component profile of yeast extract, peptone, and dextrose.

  • 3.38% Animal-Free Soytone
  • 2.00% Cerelose Anhydrous Dextrose (Glucose)
