MES buffer at pH 6.0 with sodium chloride provides defined ionic strength for biochemical and molecular biology workflows, including protein purification, ion-exchange chromatography, dialysis, and sample preparation, as well as handling of recombinant proteins derived from E. coli.

Endotoxin tested to support applications that require controlled pyrogen levels.

  • 1M Sodium Chloride
  • Cation Exchange Chromatography (Elution/Wash): 50mM MES, 1M Sodium Chloride at pH 6.0 used to elute or high-salt wash positively charged proteins from cation exchangers.

  • Anion Exchange Chromatography (High-Salt Wash): Applied as a stringent wash to reduce nonspecific binding after low-salt loading.
