CGXII Minimal Media is a chemically defined medium formulated for the cultivation of Corynebacterium glutamicum under controlled conditions. It provides inorganic nitrogen, phosphate, magnesium, and trace metals, with glucose as the primary carbon source and protocatechuic acid as an aromatic growth factor.

The medium is buffered with MOPS to maintain a stable pH during cultivation and includes calcium, iron, manganese, zinc, copper, and nickel salts as essential cofactors.
