Arabinose Solution is a sterile, ready-to-use L-(+)-arabinose reagent for induction of PBAD/araC-regulated gene expression and for supplementation as a utilizable carbon source in bacterial culture, including E. coli.

Suitable for adding to media or actively growing cultures to modulate expression from PBAD-controlled plasmid or chromosomal constructs in strains carrying araC, enabling arabinose-responsive regulation during cloning, expression, and selection workflows.

  • 20% L-(+)-Arabinose
  • Arabinose-Inducible Gene Expression (PBAD/araBAD): 20% L-(+)-Arabinose stock used to induce PBAD-controlled genes with tunable expression by adjusting final arabinose concentration.

  • pBAD Vector Induction in Escherichia coli (E. coli): Initiates transcription of araC-regulated constructs for recombinant protein production.

  • Titration of Expression Levels: Dose-dependent induction enabling fine control of target gene expression for optimization studies.

  • Lambda Red Recombineering: Induces PBAD-driven recombinases (e.g., gam, bet, exo) for genomic editing in E. coli.

  • CRISPRi/CRISPRa Systems: Activates PBAD-controlled dCas9/sgRNA components for regulated gene repression or activation.

  • Controlled Expression of Toxic or Burdensome Genes: Enables tight off/on induction to minimize basal expression before induction.

  • Carbon Source for Microbial Physiology: Serves as a defined sugar for growth, metabolism, and catabolite repression studies in E. coli.

  • Sugar Transport and Uptake Assays: Used to assess arabinose transporters and regulatory network responses.

  • Synthetic Biology Circuits: Provides a reliable inducer for toggle switches, logic gates, and oscillators under PBAD control.

  • Biofilm and Stress Response Studies in E. coli: Induces reporter or effector genes to probe community behavior and stress pathways.
