BMMY-Buffered Methanol-Complex Medium Kit, 1 L Kit is a phosphate-buffered, methanol-supplemented complex medium formulated for cultivation and methanol induction of recombinant protein expression in Komagataella phaffii (Pichia pastoris).

The kit provides pre-measured components to prepare 1 L of medium suitable for AOX1 promoter–driven induction after biomass accumulation in a glycerol-based complex medium. The formulation includes essential nutrients and biotin to support growth during the induction phase.

  • 2.00% Tryptone
  • 1.00% Yeast Extract
  • 1.34% Yeast Nitrogen Base (w/o AA and w/AS)
  • 100mM Potassium Phosphate
  • 0.4µg/mL Biotin
  • 0.50% Methyl Alcohol
  • Recombinant Protein Expression (Pichia pastoris/Komagataella phaffii): Methanol-induced AOX1-driven expression in shake flasks, deep-well plates, and bioreactors.

  • Clone Screening: Rapid evaluation of methanol-inducible clones for expression levels and stability.

  • Induction Phase Medium: Switch from glycerol-based growth (e.g., BMGY) to methanol-based induction for target protein production.
