Elution Buffer—20 mM Acetic Acid, Endotoxin Tested is an aqueous acidic buffer intended for elution of biomolecules from affinity and ion-exchange matrices under mild acidic conditions. It is suitable for workflows involving recombinant proteins, plasmid DNA, and other biologics that require low-endotoxin reagents.

Endotoxin testing supports use with materials derived from E. coli and mammalian cell culture. The buffer is supplied ready to use and is compatible with immediate neutralization following elution and with downstream analytical and preparative procedures.

  • 20mM Glacial Acetic Acid
  • Nucleic Acid Elution: Elutes plasmid DNA and RNA from silica-based columns under mildly acidic, low-ionic-strength conditions for endotoxin-sensitive workflows.

  • Anion Exchange Chromatography: Lowers pH to reduce protein net negative charge, enabling efficient elution from anion-exchange resins.

  • Immunoaffinity Elution: Provides mild acidic conditions for eluting antibodies or antigens from Protein A/G/L matrices with rapid post-elution neutralization.

  • Peptide Cleanup: Serves as an acidic eluent for reverse-phase SPE peptide desalting prior to LC-MS analysis.

  • Desalting and Buffer Exchange: Used as an elution buffer in size-exclusion or desalting columns to recover biomolecules in a clean, endotoxin-tested, sterile matrix.

  • Endotoxin-Sensitive Prep: Suitable for workflows involving biomolecules produced in Escherichia coli (E. coli) where low endotoxin carryover is critical.

  • Protein Refolding/Recovery: Assists in pH-shift protocols that transiently acidify samples to release bound ligands or contaminants prior to neutralization.

  • General Laboratory Elution: Provides a consistent 20 mM acetic acid environment for mild pH-driven elution steps across diverse biomolecule purification schemes.

  • Endotoxin: ≤0.1EU/mL
