100 mM Sodium Borate, pH 7.0 is a borate buffer solution standardized to 100 mM at pH 7.0 (25 °C). It provides defined ionic strength and pH for laboratory procedures that require a neutral borate buffering system.

Common uses include nucleic acid electrophoresis systems employing borate-based running buffers, protein and antibody dilutions where borate buffering is specified, and analytical workflows that reference borate at pH 7.0 for sample preparation or instrument methods.

100mM Boric Acid

Gel Electrophoresis: Commonly used as a sodium borate (SB) running buffer for fast DNA/RNA agarose gels and as the borate component of TBE systems.
Capillary Electrophoresis: Employed for separation of carbohydrates and glycoconjugates via borate–cis-diol complexation.
Nucleic Acid Blotting/Transfer: Used as a low-conductivity transfer buffer for rapid Southern/Northern blotting.
Enzyme Assays: Provides stable pH 7.0 buffering for biochemical assays where borate compatibility is required.
Bioconjugation/Crosslinking: Utilized as an amine-free buffer for amine-reactive chemistries and antibody coupling (commonly diluted/adjusted from this stock).
