Teknova Hi-Def Azure medium is an optimized growth medium for E. coli, based on Niedhardt’s original media for Enterobacteria. Tested for and recommended for use with DH5α, BL21, BL21(DE3), W3110.  Reduced cell yields are seen with DH10β and JM109.

This kit has three components: 

  • Azure 50X Buffer Solution (1 L)
  • Azure 50X Amino Acid Mix (1 L)
  • Azure 50X Ammonium Sulfate Solution (1 L)
